In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony’s Shawn Layden revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will now arrive on the PlayStation 4 worldwide on May 10.

Layden explained the reasons for this latest delay outside of April did not come because the game requires more development time, but “in an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on the day one.” The extra few weeks “allow for extra manufacturing time” to bring the game to territories throughout the world simultaneously.

So even though this delay has nothing to do with the development of the game, it’s still a little disappointing to see Nathan Drake won’t be visiting us in April. Plus honestly, when is the last time you’ve ever seen a shortage of a game? Especially with digital growing in popularity….
