Put on those rose colored glasses and dive into this one with me!
Riding high on the stock market wave of Pokemon GO, Nintendo brings us this! We don’t know all of the details, but it’s basically one of the retail-special mini consoles that is a perfectly modeled mini-NES. It supports HDMI to connect to all of your fancy modern displays and ships with its own NES style classic controller. Wii Classic Controllers will work as well and you can purchase more of the NES style for $9.99 USD.
The NES will feature 30 games:
- Balloon Fight
- Bubble Bobble
- Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Double Dragon II: The Revenge
- Dr. Mario
- Final Fantasy
- Ghosts’N Goblins
- Ice Climber
- Kid Icarus
- Kirby’s Adventure
- Mario Bros.
- Mega Man 2
- Ninja Gaiden
- Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
- Super C
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Tecmo Bowl
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
I grew up playing so many of these…. While I still have my NES this just makes it so much easier to just revisit my childhood any time I want! Target release is November 11th with a price of $59.99. Perfect holiday gift for that middle-aged gamer in your life.
Is this worth it? Well my friends, after digging through NeoGAF and other sites, to get everything that this NES offers TODAY, it would cost you $549.38 (pricing from pricecharting.com). That $60 price tag is really looking like a steal! Sign me up! We’ll let you know when pre-orders are live for those that want to jump in. Now I’m dreaming of an SNES model or just a dedicated VC box…. Give it to me Nintendo!
What do you think? Will you be picking one up in November?
