I started PSVG because I always wanted to be one of those video game talkers on a podcast. I set out to find the best team a website could ever want, unfortunately they all had jobs so what you see here is the best I could do! Kidding aside, I’m a lifetime gamer who trends more on the Nintendo side of things but owns or has owned every console along the way. I enjoy games in the sports, shooter, and adventure genres more than most others and have to admit that Zelda has my heart.
Favorite game series are Zelda, The Last of Us, inFamous, most Kart racers, NCAA football, and Hot Shots & Mario Golf. Yeah, I’m a huge sucker for any golf game.

Married, Father, Full-Time Job, finding time to game is more of a challenge then it used to be back in when we were younger. My tip, get the family involved and make it an activity for everyone to enjoy! (Mario Kart + Splatoon + Lego Games anyone?) My other interests include comic books, movies + TV (The nerdier the better) and physical board and card games (gotta live in the real world sometimes).
I have owned every major Nintendo Console they ever released and currently own a Wii U, PS3, PS4, PC and New Nintendo 3DS XL. I primarily enjoy games when they have a great story to tell, are fun, or even just something new and very different. My goal here is to have an open conversation on my thoughts on video games, the industry, etc. Maybe turn some of you on to something you might have missed, or get you away from something you should have missed.

Greetings fellow gamers! As many of you, and many of my brethren on this blog, I began gaming as a young guy in the mid-80s with my trusty old NES. Whether I was saving the princess, hitting home runs, pogo jumping on my cane, or entering the Konami code at the start of a game, video games became something I would always identify with. The amount of time and my commitment to gaming has ebbed and flowed throughout the years, but I have always owned a console (or two, or three) and have always considered myself to be a gamer.
In addition, I have a bias. I am a Sony guy. Most everything you see from me will be PS4 or Vita (yes, I own one, and it is magnificent) related. Rather than try to play everything, I get more enjoyment out of immersing myself in one community. I am definitely not anti-Xbox or Nintendo (as you will see in my Top 10), I just do not have time for everything. Focusing seemed like the best way for me to stay connected to games and in the know.

Howdy! Like many others on the site, my earliest gaming memory is of getting the original Nintendo as a gift, and playing the mess out of it. I loved playing Mario, Ninja Turtles, Bases Loaded, Punch Out!, and much more on the NES.
I’ve had at least one console in every “generation,” moving on to the Sega Genesis, PlayStation, Dreamcast, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and now the PS4. My handheld gaming has been a bit more haphazard, with the Sega GameGear, Nintendo DS and PS Vita as my only on-the-go gaming devices.
While I have fond memories of playing games like Sunset Riders, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot and Syphon Filter, my bread-and-butter games of my youth were always sports games. I’ve played most Maddens dating back to the original, plus NBA and college basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, rugby and golf games.

Gaming has always been one of the cores that makes me who I am. The first game I remember playing was Darkwing Duck on a rented Nintendo Entertainment System. It was so cool and amazing that I could control Darkwing Duck, a character that I’ve only known from my favorite TV show at the time. It was mind blowing, and the possibilities about what gaming could be started to grow in my head. From that point on, I was a gamer.
Now married, nearing my 30s, with two dogs and a full time career, I can’t game as much as I used to, but I want the gaming that I am able to partake in to be meaningful. I’m not fond of games that have copious amounts of grinding, but I am fine with a compelling 100 hour narrative, even if it takes me a month to complete!

Father of 2, husband, geek, jock and lover of video games since day one. Like most mid thirty-something gamers it all started for me with the good old NES, and the combo cartridge of Mario and Duck Hunt. Since then I’ve had a plethora of systems; SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, PS2, PS3, and PS4. As you can tell by the tail end of that I have pretty much aligned myself with PlayStation Nation and that’s mostly what i’ll talk about here. While i’d love to play everything on every system, in my crazy world there just isn’t enough time or money.
When not gaming on the PS4, you can find me ranting about Marvel, Star Wars, Android (if you haven’t noticed I take sides lol) talking sports or shooting hoops.
Some of my favorite games include World Of Warcraft, Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past, and Destiny
Just a coach who loves games. All games. Any system and any style. I teach physical education and coach every sport under the sun and started playing games 5 years ago to connect with students who normally would go unnoticed. My wife Lacey and I have one dog named Daisy and no plans for kids until we get nice and old.

Caroline started gaming in the early 90s, quickly falling in love with first and second generation consoles from Nintendo and Sega. Over the years, she has gravitated increasingly toward Nintendo, avidly collecting both new and retro games across all generations of Nintendo’s consoles and handhelds. While it remains difficult for her to pick favorites, she has always had a special affinity for Nintendo’s Zelda series, but also enjoys discussing games from across Nintendo’s history. She also dabbles in the occasional PC game, and she especially enjoys re-experiencing PC games from her childhood in the 90s and early 2000s. Now working at a law firm as a paralegal and graphic designer, Caroline views video games as a way for she and her husband to enjoy one another’s time and escape the doldrums of the daily grind.
Caroline is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a degree in graphic design, and she enjoys analyzing video game creators’ fusions of artistic styles in new games. And as an amateur pianist and former chorus kid, she really appreciates a good video game soundtrack. She and her husband are currently working to complete her ideal collection of Nintendo systems and games, all while satisfying her craving for Nintendo memorabilia and the occasional “cute” plushie of a Nintendo character.

Where do I start? I never thought I would get far enough to do an introduction, yet here I am. I’m 26, engaged to a beautiful (and equally geeky) woman, and I love my Nintendo games. Despite being a scaredy cat, I thrive for horror games because I know that I’m the perfect candidate to experience them. Every chance I get I try to make people laugh and remember that there’s always something to look forward to, and oftentimes it’s a moment to sit down and play a video game. I’m bad at shooters, good at puzzles, and excellent at teamwork. My favorite series is (shocker) The Legend of Zelda, and it felt like I had Christmas twice when Breath of the Wild out, beating it both on normal and Master mode. I play a lot of Pokémon Trading Card Game, and I won’t touch a sports game that doesn’t have a Mario character in it.
My name is Quauhtli, but I happily go by “Q”, a nickname that I was given by my friends in high school. Gaming began for me when I was toddler and my parents bought an NES with Super Mario World 3. I loosely remember my parents, not me, staying up late at night trying to beat SMW 3—which I believe they eventually did. However, it was my passion for playing Pokemon on my old-school GameBoy that really turned me into a gamer. I joyfully remember countless hours spent training my Charizard and the rest of my Pokemon to beat the Elite Four and my school friends via LinkCable. I have been playing Pokemon for almost 20 years, and I don’t expect to stop anytime soon. Beyond Pokemon, I became hooked on Xbox Live with Halo 2 and I have kept playing Halo ever since. If you see me sign in on Xbox Live, there is an 85% chance I will be playing Halo with the awesome group of friends I have developed through online gaming.

Have I ever beat Mike Tyson’s Punch Out standing on one leg with a belly fully of beer and pizza? I can’t remember but I do love video games! I spend my days diving into the insanity of endless emails, pushy customers, and an ever-evolving industry. There are three things that bring me back to reality, My Family, My Dog, and Video Games. My gaming history started with the SNES but I didn’t really dive into games until I got a PS2, I’ve been hooked ever since. The best games ever created are Final Fantasy 7 and MGS2: Sons of Liberty, again those are not my favorite games but simply the best ever created.

I’m a Chinese-British woman who aspires to be a video games journalist or join the animation industry one day. My love for video games started way back in 1997 when I played Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 (it now resides in my bedroom nowadays) with my father and my younger sister when I was very young. Not only is Super Mario 64 is my first foray into the Mario series, it’s also my first foray into video games in general.
My favorite genres are platform, racing and party. When I don’t play platforming games, racing is my forte especially in the Mario Kart series. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I’ve competed in previous Mario Kart tournaments which I did well in.
I have love-hate relationship with Nintendo. Most likely due to Nintendo disappointing me in the recent years with Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Colour Splash and the Wii U failed to satisfy my hunger for more platforming games. As a result, I jumped ship to PlayStation last year. Therefore, I play my PlayStation 4 more than my Nintendo consoles nowadays. With that being said, age is catching up to me which is also a most likely reason.
