Last week we finally got our latest trailer for Captain America: Civil War, no doubt Marvel has it’s sights on taking as much wind out of Batman V Superman’s sails they can. Honestly I have to say that this trailer is far better than any of the BVS trailers we have seen thus far. But without further ado, let’s dive into what we saw.

The trailer begins with what most likely is a flashback of the tale of how Bucky became the Winter Soldier. Obviously this plays a large role into the core of main plot.

The next scene has the Avengers (or what’s left of them) being scolded for the death and destruction caused by their actions in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Captain America seems annoyed at the situation and shuts down the conversation quickly.

During the next scene we get a glimpse of what most likely is known as The Raft, which is Marvels equivalent to a Super jail and looks like it can be submerged as well which would be different from the comics, no doubt Tony Stark had something to do with the development.

The next scene features a chase scene between Bucky on a motorcycle and Black Panther on foot? We haven’t seen too much of Black Panther yet, but what we have has looked amazing so far. Clearly Bucky did something to piss him off in the past. We also see a quick glimpse of Bucky attempting to shoot Tony Stark at point blank range in the face! (Not something someone who is trying to clear their name should be doing) But Tony’s quick thinking allows him to get an iron man glove on in time to block the bullet, but the look on his face is priceless!

From there we are treated to a handful of fighting scenes, one of which involves War Machine being blasted out of the sky by what appears to be a rocket launcher, it is unclear if he dies because of this, but he doesn’t appear to be in good shape. And I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we see a death or two due to the events of this movie, and to further push Tony Stark away from Cap.

We also catch a glimpse of Scarlett Witch controlling Vision which is unique because Vision is an AI so you would think her powers wouldn’t work on him. Interesting to see where they go with this relationship (in the comics they are either madly in love with each other or just plain mad at each other), since they are on separate sides of the issue, we will have to see.

Hawkeye gets one of the coolest shots in the trailer shooting an arrow…..with Ant-Man riding on it headed for Iron Man. Looking at a giant fight scene with super powered individuals, guns, rockets, magic… get two guys, one with no powers other than great eyesight, pull off one of the coolest moves.

We do get some footage of Crossbones up next (remember there is a villain in this movie too) with apparently Baron Zemo not to be seen yet. Marvel is really keeping this villains under wraps and focusing on the good guys at war. It makes me wonder how much of the movie will actually be spent on their feud vs the time spent against the actual bad guys…..

Then more Team Cap vs Team Iron Man action all leading up to the moment of truth….

With Tony Stark calling in for his back up “Underoos” we get the debut of our new Spiderman…..with a quick shot of some webbing disarms Cap and takes his shield looks at the Avengers and responds with a simple “Hey Everyone……” and the internet exploded. I cannot wait for this film….it’s going to be great.

If you haven’t seen the trailer already…….what is wrong with you. Watch it below:
