February 21. One week prior to February 28. One. Week. I, like many of the PlayStation faithful, have Horizon on the brain. That being said, there still are a couple games I am interested in checking out this week. Will I get either of them done before Horizon? Maybe. Possibly. Probably not. I am, however, committed to trying! What are they? Let’s take a look…

Night in the Woods (PS4)

An adventure game with animals! What is not to like? Night in the Woods is a game I have been interested in for some time and I absolutely adore the art style. In this game you play as Mae Borowski who is returning to home Possum Springs. While reconnecting to the town and old friends, Mae notices that things are not exactly as she remembers. I enjoy how adventure games are able to pair zaniness with story and Night in the Woods looks capable of doing the same. If you are picking this up immediately, there is a day one patch coming out sometime in the evening of the 21st the developers are encouraging you to wait for. So, if you are like me and are chomping at the bit for this one, try to cool your jets a bit and wait for the patch.

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin (PSVR)

I am not an old school Tim Schafer fan. In fact, a few years ago when the LucasArts adventure games were announced for remasters, I was excited for the folks who were excited for them, but they had never really grabbed me. But then I played a couple of them. And I watched the Double Fine Adventure documentary series, which is long, but totally worth it. Then I played a couple more Double Fine games and now here I am, excited to play the new Psychonauts game as I await the eventual release of Psychonauts 2. Rhombus of Ruin takes place immediately at the end of the first Psychonauts, so plan to see all your favorite psychic detectives in an all-new adventure!

Just a couple games for me this week. It also looks like ACA NeoGeo Neo Turf Masters releases this week, so maybe Donnie will finally get a golfing game this generation he loves. Are you picking anything up this week? Are most eyes peering with longing to next week? Comment below or hit me up on Twitter so we can talk about our anticipation together!
