In what will inevitably be the second best news from Nintendo today, this week’s eShop update is a good one.

Pokemon Sun & Moon has a special demo on the eShop. The Special Demo Version introduces players to the Alola region and features Ash-Greninja, the Pokémon that appears alongside the hero Ash in the animated TV series Pokémon the Series: XYZ. Players are able to transfer their Ash-Greninja from the Special Demo Version to their full version of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon.

SteamWorld Heist (Image & Form, $14.99 for first two weeks, an extra 10% off if your own Wii U or 3DS versions of SteamWorld Heist or SteamWorld Dig, normally $19.99) – The follow-up to breakthrough title SteamWorld Dig, this adopts a turn-based 2D strategy approach for the highly stylized steam-bot IP.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks hits Wii U Virtual Console today joining its other DS companion Phantom Hourglass. Costing $10, Spirit Tracks have long protected the kingdom from evil. But when they start disappearing mysteriously, Link and Zelda must travel together to restore them and keep the dark forces at bay. Fight enemies and explore the world as you travel by train and take control of a hulking suit of armor!


Pirate Pop Plus from 13AM Games (Runbow Devs) (3DS & Wii U)  We actually have a review for this game coming very soon. irate Pop Plus, players must pop bubbles to save the townsfolk while Bubble Pirate’s gravity gun forces them onto walls or the ceiling. Buccaneers will earn coins that they can spend on customizations for their “Pocket Game” handheld console, including new faceplates, stickers, backlights, and even music and characters for the game itself. Players can also spend coins on Hyper Mode, a faster, crazier and more difficult version of the core arcade game that rewards players with a multitude of coins. ou can even buy the New Nintendo 3DS version of Pirate Pop Plus and receive a free digital version for the Wii U console (and vice versa). More details and trailer here.
