While the Switch version of this fall’s FIFA 18 from EA Sports was absent from the EA Play conference, the company finally released more information on the title on their website.

Predictably, the game will not feature the Frostbite engine or the Alex Hunter saga. However, the game appears to look on the level of the pre-Frostbite FIFA, and will hopefully include gameplay improvements.

“EA SPORTS™ FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch™ is the most immersive, social, and authentic football game ever created for Nintendo players. Feature packed, you can now play the world’s game anytime, anywhere and in unique ways with FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch.”

The game will include multiple control schemes, from Pro to tablet to split single Joy Cons. It will include the core modes expected in FIFA, which means Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Switch Kick Off and Local Seasons. FIFA on Switch is clearly the most fully featured soccer game on the go. If the gameplay is solid, FIFA 18 will make a great addition to my Switch library this fall.
